The ride for Monopod Mountain Bike Madness (MMBM) covers 215 miles over 7 days from Telluride, Colorado to Moab, Utah. The route will take place in some of the Southwest’s most spectacular and challenging terrain including the high tundra alpine mountains to slick rock.
The majority of the ride takes place at high altitude—over 8,000 feet—with the highest point at 11,000 feet on the first night of the ride! Changes in altitude on any single day can be as much as 4,000 feet, and weather conditions can range from clear crisp mountain mornings to thunderous afternoon downpours, or even snow.

Ride accommodations and logistics - San Juan Hut Systems
Each night Brett and his team will stay in one of a series of huts
maintained by the fantastic folks at San Juan Hut Systems. The huts
provide a place to sleep and eat, and are stocked with food and
supplies so riders don’t have to carry their own provisions and camping
equipment. The huts are low impact and environmentally friendly, with
limited amenities, just enough for Brett and his team to get a night’s
rest before moving on to the next days ride.
Because of Brett’s unique challenges, the ride would not have been
possible without financial and logistical support for Brett and his
team from San Juan Hut Systems. Special thanks to Joe and his team for all their help and support to make this
ride a reality.
